Logo: Up for Yorkshire

Up for Yorkshire run a variety of services both locally within Selby and in other parts of Yorkshire. They provide accessible and welcoming community spaces (Community House in Selby and Brayton Community Centre), as well as the Selby community fridge project and a community transport service.

They can help you with many other things too, including:

  • Support, information, and guidance for community groups and organisations, and advice for individuals, including those that are vulnerable.
  • Opportunities to share information, bring people together and address gaps in what services provide.
  • Social prescribing, which is an approach that connects people to activities, groups, and services in their community to meet the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing. Read more from NHS England.
  • Various employability opportunities and training programmes.
