What are your experiences of hospital care?

Share your views of access and treatment

We want to highlight people’s experiences of hospital access, care, and treatment as a meeting of decision-makers within the NHS is taking place in March.

They have asked local Healthwatch to reach out to our public and those who support them to complete a short survey.

Whether you live or work with people in Craven who use healthcare services there, or have to travel to West Yorkshire to access the NHS (from wherever you live), we want to hear your views.

Or, if you live in North Yorkshire and use services there, you can still have your say.

What are your experiences (good and bad) of local hospital access, care, and treatment? What's important to you? What do you feel needs to change?

Share your views

Please complete this survey to share your experience(s):

Why is the meeting being held?

The meeting is run by the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (who also cover Craven). Their role is planning to meet your health needs, manage the NHS budget and arranging health services.

They are part of West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, which involves the NHS, councils, local Healthwatch, hospices, charities and voluntary organisations working together to make things better.

Your insight

You can also find out more about some additional public insight shared with the NHS decision-makers:

‘Focus on’ winter – Your experiences of health and care

This is a summary of the key messages related to the winter period that Healthwatch across Craven (and West Yorkshire) are hearing from people in their areas.

Your experiences of primary care

Healthwatch ran a session to share people’s positive experiences of accessing primary care and GPs. Primary care services provide the first point of contact in the healthcare system, acting as the 'front door' of the NHS. Primary care includes general practice, community pharmacy, dental, and optometry (eye health) services.

We talked about how positive experiences and examples of good practice can be shared to make things better for more people.

Please continue to leave your feedback

As always, if you’d like to leave feedback about other health and social care experiences, it would really help us.
