About this event
For over 10 years, Healthwatch North Yorkshire has been working alongside local people to shine a light on what matters most in health and social care. Together with the NHS, charities, volunteers, local organisations, and North Yorkshire Council, we’ve celebrated what works well – and tackled the areas that need to change.
This webinar will showcase how people’s voices have made a real difference over the last 18 months, helping to shape care that truly meets local needs.
You’ll hear how:
- Farmers are being better supported to tackle isolation and access services.
- Mental health care is evolving – with new roles in GP practices, trauma-informed approaches, and dedicated support for people with complex emotional needs.
- Our Enter & View visits, carried out by trained volunteers, provide a unique perspective on services – and how a local care home has acted on our recommendations to improve staffing and activities for residents.
All of this has been made possible because people spoke up – and because local services listened.
