About this event

North Yorkshire Council and local Healthwatch want to improve health and well-being for all of our people.

As the champion for people who use health and social care services, our sole purpose as a Healthwatch is to make sure those in charge listen to you and make care better.

This drop in session is part of a new plan for the county to tackle social inequalities and improve the health and well-being of hundreds of thousands of people over the next seven years.

North Yorkshire Council are asking for your input on how to make sure everyone has a fair chance at a happy and healthy life. They have reached out to local Healthwatch and the community to help make this happen.

You will be asked to tell North Yorkshire Council the one thing you would like to see happen to improve this in your community and where you live.

The plan has three main priorities:

  1. Helping communities with the poorest health outcomes
  2. Making sure where people live doesn't hurt their health
  3. Focusing on the actions that will have the biggest impact
