Mother and baby groups - where to go for help

Having a baby can bring many positive feelings and experiences but can also be overwhelming and challenging. Getting the proper support is vital to help new mums and their babies stay well.
Mothers sat in a circle with their babies

As part of our work listening to mothers experiences of postnatal community care after birth, many told us they value being around other mums and receiving the right support.

New mums also told Healthwatch North Yorkshire that they wanted better communication and more information about topics such as safety at home with a newborn and breastfeeding.

Take a look at the information below to find out where you can go to get the help you and your baby need across North Yorkshire.
